The Product Specialist is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including : gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, contributing to the product vision, and working closely (under the supervision of the Chief Product Officer) with all teams : engineering, sales, marketing and support, to ensure that customer / key stakeholder satisfaction goals are met.
The Product Specialist’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
A successful candidate has a passion for writing functional requirement documents and is very creative in written and oral communication.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY *Assist directors and senior management in product strategy and roadmap *Own several telecom product lines and digital tools i.
web, CRM tools & apps, and shepherd their entire lifecycle *Be responsible for the development of product requirements of the value propositions, do the business case, make versus buy analysis, global pricing strategy, product roadmap, and competitive analysis, write super-
descriptive functional requirements, host review meetings and follow up the implementation, evangelize the product / feature internally and externally, train customers, partners, sales staff and front & back office on new products, research integration opportunities with compatible third party products, review and prioritize incoming feature requests, work with internal and external third parties to launch new innovative products or services.
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples *Prepare and edit various marketing material for print and web or demo products at tradeshows, author and maintain product release notes, documentation and help systems.

Strong leadership, project management and people skills required to motivate and direct a team of independent contributors from various functional areas including engineering, services, operations, supplier management and marketing
High energy level combined with good organization and multi-tasking skills necessary to achieve constantly changing mix of short, medium, and long-term objectives.
Ability to manage interruptions in schedule to respond to ad-hoc sales queries, new customer opportunities, and escalation of program issues
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; business casing & price modeling proficiency in Microsoft Excel required to develop and support recommendations for top management
Confidence and presentation skills needed to interact effectively with senior management, key customers, and partners in both selling and problem-resolution scenarios
Natural curiosity and self-motivation to learn and keep current on technical and market trends
Track record of delivering on commitments and producing high quality work
Strong verbal and written communication skills ; Fluency in French and English (oral & written)
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; preferably either Engineering degree combined with strong business acumen / interest, or Business degree combined with strong technical aptitude / interest
Deep Knowledge of Telecom market; demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products; minimum of 4 years of related experience in Product Management, Marketing or Engineering Contact
