Amazon's Operations Talent Development (OTD) team is seeking an innovative learning professional to design and execute engaging training curriculum for new hires, as part of EU Ops onboarding programs.

This includes creating engaging content, including blended, instructor led training, eLearning, micro learning, social / cohort learning and video content, designed to meet delivery needs from self-paced to virtual across our global sites.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop learning solutions and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner and business.
  • Employ project management skills and tools to manage multiple medium to large scale projects from analysis through delivery concurrently.
  • Conduct analysis to identify key tasks / skills to target in the curriculum and perform post implementation evaluation on key performance and business metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with OTD training delivery, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) on the business team to identify knowledge gaps, and develop training content.
  • Provide train the trainer sessions (classroom or virtual / remote) to support implementation of training programs.
  • Deliver our instructor-led classes and programs (in person or virtual). Must be able to facilitate high quality learner-focused programs which have informative content and engaging learning techniques and environment.
  • A successful candidate will leverage deep understanding of the business to translate business insight and strategies to skills and capabilities needed by the audience.

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships, collaborating with the program manager, instructional designers, learning coordinator, business / program analysts, other facilitators, and business leaders to deliver learning outcomes.
  • Manage / execute on curriculum maintenance review and implementations cycles.

  • Support the development of learner engagement strategies and evaluation plans.

  • Proven experience design / instructional design, developing blended, instructor-led, eLearning, micro learning, and video-based content.
  • Ability to manage medium to large projects while working cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An undergraduate degree in instructional design, communication, education, or related field.
  • Experience assessing curriculum effectiveness and using findings to develop solutions that positively impact learner performance in their role.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and contribute to process simplification / improvement at a team level.
  • This role can be based anywhere in Luxembourg, London, Munich, Milan.


  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in learning design and development
  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.)
  • Expertise using eLearning development tools such as Articulate Studio / Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, and Captivate
  • Familiarity with gamification, xAPI, online learning and learning technologies
  • Proficiency in graphic and / or web design skills
  • Experience with video design and development
