Purpose of the role This role forms part of Ogier's Global Risk & Compliance Team. The candidate will work with and report to the Head of European Compliance and support the Luxembourg Office as required, to help ensure that Ogier Group employees adhere to their regulatory obligations, conform to industry leading practices and professional standards and help the Risk & Compliance Team to keep the ethical integrity of the company uninjured.

The candidate will be expected to meet relevant targets and deadlines set by the Head of European Compliance. Key Responsibilities · Support the Head of European Compliance to ensure AML / CFT procedures are maintained by the company regarding all relevant laws, regulations and guidance issued by the Luxembourg authorities, the AML / CFT Law and our local supervising bodies.

  • Form a highly effective and collaborative relationship with Group Head of Risk & Compliance, Head of European Compliance and Head of Group Risk as well as the wider Risk & Compliance Team to ensure effective and seamless service delivery;
  • Support and assist in the implementation and maintenance of jurisdictional and global policies, procedures, and processes;
  • Assist in being not only up to date with regulatory issues relevant to Ogier, but also able to identify potential threats of non-compliance and take measures to alleviate them;
  • Assist in communicating compliance-related issues to staff across all divisions of the organization; · Assist in providing regular recommendations for training in order to maintain a high level of compliance;
  • Identify, assess, monitor, manage and mitigate money laundering and financing of terrorism risks; · Ensure Compliance processes and procedures align to the Group's risk appetite;
  • Periodically assist with testing internal policies and procedures as part of the Compliance Monitoring Program; · Have a good working knowledge of the Group policies and procedures and ensure they accurately reflect local regulatory requirements together with the other policies and procedures contained within them.
  • Assist with the delivery of appropriate training to all partners, directors and staff; · Act as a deputy point of contact for Luxembourg Compliance queries from partners, directors and staff · Assist the Head of European Compliance with client risk assessments;
  • Assist with the client take-on process for Luxembourg matters as may be required; Liaise with clients and intermediaries to collect CDD and chase outstanding documents;
  • Assist with gap analyses of legal and regulatory changes in the jurisdiction as directed; · Assist the Risk Team to ensure jurisdictional Business Risk Assessments, AML Risk Assessments and the Business Continuity Plan are current and updated as and when required;
  • Assist with managing relationships with the relevant Luxembourg competent authorities; · Ensure highly effective sanctions screening procedures are in place to ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Assist with preparing monthly and quarterly Risk & Compliance reports to the local Board; · Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting deadlines;
  • Assist with complaints, breaches, errors and PI reporting and review process; · Review third party payment requests and advice before CDD requests;
  • Assist with Risk & Compliance Team projects as and when required; · Lead effective business testing of Compliance-linked requirements, ensuring effective controls are in place to drive business alignment to regulatory standards;
  • Support the audit / inspection process by liaising with the internal auditors as deemed necessary as well as liaise with local regulators during the inspection process;
  • Contribute towards the business and Risk & Compliance Team in identifying process improvements, potential gaps / improvements with the policies and procedures and other service innovation changes that would improve the client experience.
  • Support and champion the 2025 Vision, and encourage focus on process and innovation with your team and the wider organisation;
  • Competencies · 4 - 5 years' experience in a similar role · Good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting legal and trust company business in Luxembourg and ability to apply this knowledge in practice;
  • Knowledge and understanding of various vehicles / fund structures, specific to Luxembourg; · Maintain and develop a good relationship with internal and external clients;
  • Willing to take the lead in setting the tone for corporate integrity; · Good analytical and organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to make decisions and use own initiative within the scope of regulatory requirements, policies and procedures;
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting; · Good understanding of SharePoint and Viewpoint database(s), a plus;
