As Senior Marketing Manager, you will work within one of the fastest growing areas of Amazon, responsible for the growth and performance of startups selling through Amazon Launchpad in Europe.
You will build on the promise and success of these startups and design customer marketing and selection best practices at scale.
What is the Senior Marketing Manager role?
Amazon Launchpad (AL) Europe is looking for a talented, smart, experienced, and entrepreneurial Senior Marketing Manager to manage customer marketing performance across EU to ensure we help more customers discover our selection and shop from them.
The person in the role will own the data and strategical understanding around driving exposure to Amazon Launchpad brands as well as conversion to sales;
this will include consulting selection discoverability initiatives including internal and external traffic channels, customer experience and conversion improvements, and the quality of product pages and search enhancements;
via performance based short / long term action plans and tracking.
A successful Senior Marketing Manager will be able to use a broad skill set and experience to identify and create a successful landscape for Amazon Launchpad customer experience.
Since this is a new role with brand new KPIs and strategic roadmap, Senior Marketing Manager should act with strong bias for action and ownership to execute overarching EU AL marketing strategy from scratch, starting ideally Q1 2022.
Thus, the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, be comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and be able to deliver prompt results at both a strategic and tactical level.
A successful Senior Marketing Manager will also be able to :
Determine metrics to measure quality and success, and own business review processes
Support creation of EU AL’s overall CX, marketing and conversion strategy with annual operating plan in Europe
Identify, prioritize, and solve customer problems in collaboration with peers
Drive roadmaps with global tech teams to build solutions and ensure high quality implementation of new customer tools
Create and continuously update an onsite discoverability experimentation plan, focusing on exploring new avenues for traffic acquisition and conversion
8+ years in marketing / product management / product development
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent analytical skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategies
A demonstrated ability to solve problems and coordinate with global team members
High Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
Outstanding interpersonal skills : decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams in different geographies, business units, and industries
Strong creativity in a commercial sense, with proven experience to convert customer insight into initiatives
Practical, common-sense approach to getting things done
E-commerce, retail, marketing, and startup experience
Experience driving brand awareness and customer engagement
Fluency in multiple European languages
SQL and Microsoft Excel fluency
Ability to succeed in an ambiguous, fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
For this position, we expect..
BA / BS required. · 5+ years relevant work experience in roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements.
Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management · Ability to conceptualize and execute creative out-of-the-box projects, with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Comfortable operating with considerable autonomy and possess decision making skills when faced with ambiguity. · Fluent in written and spoken English and Proficiency in an additional EU language.
Further Qualifications would be a plus..
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. · The ability to learn our in-house analysis tools quickly. · Prior experience in marketing, merchandising or account management.
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments. · Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs Understanding and use of web metrics to measure performance.
