It employs around 20 people in Luxembourg and aims to attract enthusiastic and dedicated individuals.
The role :
The Accountant-Associate will be expected to support the team on an ongoing basis in preparing the financial statements and other related accounting deliverables driven by client needs.
The main responsibilities of the position will include the following :
Undertake responsibility for a diverse portfolio of the Company’s clients (Soparfi, SIF, SICAR, SCSp and RAIF maintained under LUX GAAP);
Prepare interim, annual (audited) accounts, capital account statements;
Prepare and / or assist in the preparation of carried interest and other calculations in accordance with the fund documentation;
Submit regulatory reporting to CSSF and BCL as applicable;
Assist with planning of annual audits and liaise with different counterparties to establish timetables for the receipt of valuations, advisers’ reports and other relevant information;
Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process;
Liaise with clients confidently and knowledgeably, proactively solve issues and respond to inquiries;
Ensure all work undertaken complies with governing documentation of the entities being serviced, and applicable regulatory requirements;
Manage own workload and communicate any issues of concern timely to the Manager;
Perform other aspects of fund administration as required from time to time.
Key competencies :
The position holder should have the following key attributes :
Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance (on-going ACCA qualification or equivalent would be considered as an asset);
Between 0 and 2 years of relevant professional experience in Luxembourg, preferably gained either within the financial sector or Big 4;
Attention to detail and accuracy;
Strong numeracy and analytical skills;
Team spirit and ability to work in a collaborative work environment;
Excellent inter-personal skills in dealing with both clients and colleagues;
Proactive, curious and eager to learn;
Very good organisational and administrative skills;
Fluent in English is mandatory (French or any other language would be considered as a plus).
