Client & Role overview : Our client is a small but rapidly growing firm renowned for their informal but professional working environment, internal training and low staff turnover.

This is a senior role and requires someone with consolidated knowledge and experience in the Structured Finance / Capital Markets field predominately from a corporate legal perspective.

Key responsibilities : Directly lead, build, coach and motivate a team of professionals in the Luxembourg office.

Manage the legal issues of a portfolio of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).

Ensure that the operations teams are kept up to date with legislative changes etc., impacting services provided to clients.

Initiate and organise Share Holder meetings, Board meetings and Steering Committee meetings.

Reviewing of and comment on Transaction Documents and Agreements (mainly UK-Law).

To point out (in time) possible Fiscal and / or Legal issues which may arise in the pre-closing stage.

Maintaining and develop contact with Investment Managers, Trustees and banks in order to achieve objectives in meeting deadlines and serving the client’s needs Being a sparring partner for the internal Accountants and act as the focal point of information with respect to the Transaction principles for the department.

Ensure that within the SFCM Business line we are delivering compliant services as contracted working with the service delivery teams.

Develop and support clients during various lifecycle stages, starting from the incorporation of new companies to end-to-end service delivery management support.

Initiate and coordinate regular communications to ensure a best practice approach in regulatory and legal developments.

Keep track of SFCM regulatory, legal and fiscal developments and translate these into new business opportunities for SFCM.

A regular contributor to knowledge resources.

Represents the company in Trade organizations, industry meetings and conventions.

Will have basic operational risk management awareness and actively promotes a culture of risk awareness. Requirements : 7-

10 years’ experience in a senior / manager position in the SFCM industry.

Masters in (tax) law and specialist structured finance post-graduate program. Recognised internally & externally as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their specialist area.

Go-to resource who helps to resolve complex issues. Proven expertise on tax, legal, commercial and strategic level. Strong analytical skills, good business acumen, ability to work with all areas of the business at all levels.

Strong desire to identify, collaborate, share and drive best practices across functions (sales, marketing, service lines, etc.
