The John Deere Bank IT Department implements and supports homegrown applications as well as purchased software to support the European portfolio and market.
The organization is currently undergoing a major transformation to adopt Agile and restructure the teams under a product hierarchy with a different mindset.
Along that transformation, the newly setup product teams will have the mission to develop and support the software components of digital products through the product’s lifecycle, introducing new technologies to modernize the tech stack.
In this position You will work on the Data & Analytics Enablement or Core Finance and Accounting product teams and support product roadmap and vision by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality on a complete product or significant portion of a product it supports.
You will develop simple designs to solve well-defined problems with guidance from more senior team members.
Software Engineer (Permanent Contract)
Your major duties will be to :
As a software engineer part of the Data & Analytics Enablement product team at John Deere Bank in Luxembourg, You will design, develop, configure, and test Deere homegrown applications as well as purchased software using of legacy and new technologies.
Some example of legacy technologies includes standalone visual basic apps, SQL, batch jobs, MS Access / ODBC based reports as well as purchased legacy back end and regulatory reporting platforms, while examples of new technologies are several different AWS services, Python, ReactJS with introduction of DevOps, CI / CD and TDD principles.
Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
