We are looking for an engineer with specific skills in the field of sensors, electronics, electrical, signal processing, data processing, physics, control, instrumentation, automation and computer programming.
The job is strategic for the development of tools used in the EAF route and to fulfill current requirements to our customers.
The aims are to develop hardware and software solutions to maximize the process productivity, product quality and to keep processing cost under control.
The maintenance of existing in-house solutions is also important. It will also have to participate in the transformation 4.0 of our industry.
During his / her first mission, the candidate will be in charge of the models future evolution including the Software and Development side.
He / She will have a functional dependency with the Software Factory research center dedicated to the digitalization and industrialization of our R&D model based solutions.
Continuous contact and some travels to Fos sur Mer (South of France) and of Fos’ peers to Esch will be necessary to ensure a full and smooth integration and mission.
There will also be occasional trips abroad to production facilities and frequent technical coordinations with other ArcelorMittal global R&D centers.

Experience in the following areas : EAF steelmaking, sensors and data collection in the steel production process, or first experience in a similar position is an advantage.
