The EMEA Logistics Security & Loss Prevention team is seeking an enthusiastic and customer obsessed Air Cargo Security Program Manager to provide support for cargo transportation efforts of Amazon Air in Europe.
This will encompass new initiatives for the transportation supply chain involving Amazon owned and third party delivery methods.
The incumbent will be responsible for implementation of risk-based security standards while ensuring compliance on the field with corporate policies, aviation security regulations and standardized processes.
This position will be located in Europe (Luxembourg / France / UK / Germany).

This key role will support EU Amazon Air Operations with understanding, implementation and validation of security requirements, to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations, airport and carrier security programs affecting Amazon Air’s operations;
physical security, loss prevention and case investigations; contingency and emergency response procedures. You must have a demonstrated ability to utilize your subject matter expertise and management skills to challenge conventional wisdom, think strategically, communicate effectively, drive results and leverage the necessary technical support that will be provided by both Amazon and third party technical experts.
Support risk-based air cargo security, loss prevention and performance; compliance with regulations and other internal and external standards;
physical protection systems, technology and services; promote air cargo security communication, awareness and training; handling incidents, investigations and intelligence;
support crisis management; manage key internal and external relationships.
You will support the EU Amazon Air Operations team with creation, implementation, evaluation and verification on the field of compliance with existing and new company security policies, standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Utilize Security Management Systems (SeMS) processes to identify root cause and develop mitigating processes to reduce risk.
This is a new and evolving business operation. We are looking for a specialized manager who can introduce best practices and move on with a strong bias for action as we ramp up these efforts.
Other responsibilities include :
Provide guidance and support to the EU Amazon Air Operations team.
Manage information from various reporting tools to monitor or identify risks.
Implement security and shrinkage control programs to protect assets from loss due to internal / external theft and operational issues affecting security.
Review security practices and procedures to ensure that they are in line with regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with internal customers to develop security solutions to address evolving operational processes with a focus on identifying solutions that facilitate business objectives.
Implement strategic programs designed to enhance loss mitigation efforts in the air cargo space.
Provide support assisting internal customers to establish, provide and agree on clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.
Supervise, where needed, the use of vendors for guarding and security screening and rationalize functions at multiple site locations.
Manage timely, ethically and professionally investigations of theft and workplace incidents.
Support crisis management planning and emergency response for Amazon Air in Europe and Worldwide.
Investigate allegations of regulatory violations and mitigate regulatory enforcement affecting Amazon operations.
Support establishing and maintaining relationships with the appropriate national civil aviation security authorities.
Learn Amazon’s Excellence System (ACES) and apply its concepts including Lean Six Sigma and Kaizens so that systems and related processes’ waste is eliminated.
Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in security or related field or equivalent professional experience.
5-7+ years of experience in transportation / supply chain security management.
5-7+ years of experience in a customer-service driven environment.
3-5+ years of experience as a security manager in a multi-location global corporate environment.
3-5+ years of recent experience in air cargo security
3-5+ years of recent experience in regulatory aviation security compliance, specifically national civil aviation security programs of EU Member States.
3-5+ years of experience conducting workplace risk investigations.
High-level use of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel 50%+ of the time.
Ability to stand long hours, lift 20 pounds and work at times in an industrial environment.
Aviation or Air Cargo or SeMS Security Management, or equivalent.
TAPA - FSR and / or TACSS
CTPAT / AEO - Security
ASIS - CPP, PSP
Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems.
Lean Six Sigma and / or Green / Black Belt, certification or proven experience.
Very good command of written and verbal English. Other EU languages are a plus.
