The role of the Senior Program Manager for Europe Direct Fulfillment program will be identifying opportunities and implementing initiatives to improve the flow of goods (cost, time and visibility) across our Direct Fulfilment program.
This individual will partner with various teams across Amazon (Operations, Supply Chain Technology, Retail and Finance teams) as well as external partners to support critical new business initiatives and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of our program.

The role of the Senior Program Manager is to co-ordinate and drive projects to completion and to lead major projects within his / her competence and scope and the organizational needs.
Manage and drive projects that delivers to the overall goals and objectives of the team.
Conduct and lead in weekly project meetings for updates and deliverables.
Proactively monitoring program performance to identify, address and prevent potential issues
Addressing barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders
Self-driving projects and initiatives to optimization of transportation lead times, costs and service levels across various internal teams.
Systematically escalate problems or variance in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams, following through to resolution to ensure projects and initiatives are on track to completion.
Work within various time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously), while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements and timelines are met.
Initiate projects and initiatives to drive for optimization and improvement in the Supply Chain Operations.
Completed Bachelor’s degree or higher in : Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Mathematics, Physics or similar field
6+ years in Project and program management / Operations / Supply Chain / Logistics / Transportation management.
Proven ability to lead large and complex cross-functional projects.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet operational performance goals.
Advanced knowledge of Excel is required, including use of lookups and pivot tables.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired, maintain strong focus on detail, prioritize workloads, and always meet deadlines.
Experience analyzing data and communicating the results to business leaders.
SQL and Access knowledge are required
Experiences in business with international supply chain / import challenges, preferable in retail
German, French, Spanish, Italian or other additional European languages is a benefit
Must be a proven team leader and role model.
