DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Operations Talent Development team is seeking a Learning & Talent Development Sr. Program Manager to actively drive and scale a portfolio of global projects and work closely with program leaders and various internal stakeholders on delivering these projects.
This role leads the project roadmap for our programs, track and manage risks & issues, and develop, implement, and remodel project plans as needed.
Sr. Program managers overarching purpose is invent and scale mechanisms to onboard and develop new field operations leaders across global operations.
The Sr. Program Manager’s lead needs analysis, set program strategy and direction, work with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop or modify programs that impact our Operations leaders.
Building working relationships with Learning Business Partners and key stakeholder groups, the Sr. Program Manager will continually dive deep to understand the learning needs, using data and insights into the business to build or adapt learning methods, materials or technology that will support the leaders.
Key Responsibilities :
Build project plans and templates such as project schedules, risk logs, status reports, metrics plans.
Demonstrate a bias for action and an ability to deal with great ambiguity. One of the key success criteria for this position is the ability to drive change in loosely defined situations
Track and report the metrics and activities status, prioritize project requests
Manage stakeholder relationships for customers within Emerging Countries Customer Fulfillment (ECCF), India, and Japan
Drive collaboration with other AD1 program managers and partner teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business, education, instructional design, organizational development, or equivalent experience
Experience in implementing innovative learning and development solutions within a global environment
4 years’ experience in the areas of operational management and learning and development with increasing levels of responsibility and scope.
Experience using analytical skills to deep dive data and presenting data to make decisions
Program management skills - including managing details, keeping multiple tasks / projects on track and excellent time management
Excellent written, verbal, listening, and communication skills coupled with an ability to comfortably and confidently present to a number of key stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in related a discipline
Operational experience outside of training and leadership development
Experience supporting the training and leadership development of an operational organization
Experience with business, financial and process improvements tools, concepts and methodologies
Business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking and willingness to be vocally self-critical
A resourceful Sr. Program Manager who is able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a fast-paced environment with shifting objectives
