The Data GovernanceAnalyst leads and manages all organization-wide data governance activities andwill have responsibility for improving the quality and manage the protection ofsensitive data and information assets.

The position focuses on establishing andensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for datapolicies, standards and practices, to achieve the required level ofconsistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.

The main jobresponsibilities are :

  • Establishand govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap includingstrategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities;
  • Rollout an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvementof data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications toorganization behaviour standards, principles, governance metrics, processes,related tools and data architecture;
  • Defineroles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clearaccountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets;
  • Serveas a liaison between Business areas and technology to ensure that data relatedbusiness requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined,communicated and well understood and considered as part of operationalprioritization and planning;
  • Develop& maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritativesystems, owners;
  • Facilitatethe development and implementation of data governance standards, dataprotection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise;
  • Defineindicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with datarelated policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoptionrequirements;
  • Inconjunction with IT, provide progress reports to Board management and overseeperiodic updates to the Department Data Governance Roadmap


    The ideal candidatewill have :

    Minimumof 3 years of experience in insurance / reinsurance organization, withlarge-scale data or project management and oversight experience.

    Knowledgeof industry leading data quality and data protection management practices

    Knowledgeof data governance practices, business and technology issues related tomanagement of enterprise

    Consultingskills, with change management concepts and strategies

    Bachelor’sdegree (or equivalent)

    Strongresults orientation and ability to improve processes for higher businessperformance

    Strongcommunication; collaboration and networking skills

    Proventrack record in insurance / reinsurance business

    Excellentknowledge of English, knowledge of French and German is an asset

    Positivemind and drive and highly motivated to drive change
