Investor Services & Financing in Clearstream covers our products Banking, Funding & Financing, European Custody Product, Global Markets, Product Program Management and Client Connectivity & Data.
We ensure Clearstream’s presence and local stakeholder engagement across all core aspects of infrastructure provision, Custody and asset servicing as well as cash, lending and collateral management.
We cover through our Network Management a large geographical area, including the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, Central Europe, Russia / CIS and the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region.
As the Head of Section for Client Connectivity & Data you will report directly into the Head of Investor Services & Financing (Area), who is also a member of Clearstream’s Management Committee and the Member of the GEM Board.
The Section Head of Client Connectivity & Data must bring inspirational leadership in new technology around Data Visualisation, APIs, Connectivity products across industries.
Understand both Securities Infrastructures / services industries. Proven organisational leadership and people development capabilities.
You will have to manage delivery speed combined with positive customer experience, while meeting tight deadlines and juggling with multiple critical external and internal customer requests.
The team currently consists of three main units across all of Clearstream’s legal vehicles as well as its entire product set.
Connectivity Support & Business Acceptance provides a BAU Customer Support, testing, onboarding and general support for clients.
Connectivity Sales & Onboarding unit performs Product Management, Xact Web Portal roll-out, Client technical onboarding for core business, Client testing as well as second level support and expertise.
Publishing operational banners on COL, Xact Web Portal and our Webpages. Data Management unit focuses on using data to add value to our clients through AI, prediction algorithms and use of Data by clients and internally in the organisation.
This role can be based in Luxembourg, Frankfurt or London.
Tasks / Responsibilities
Design and deliver a programme for Clearstream’s Client Connectivity & Data strategy which provides both efficiencies, focuses on data and ensures a continued competitive product
Manage the budget across BAU and projects along the Clearstream’s guidelines
Ensure you protect and grow a significant revenue provider for Clearstream
Work closely with the Clearstream Evolution Program
Manage an internationally diverse team, located in Luxembourg, Prague, London and Frankfurt
Serve as a point of reference and escalation for IT, external, internal clients and the team
Take ownership and ensure development of creative solutions
Responsible to maintain, review and redesigning internal processes
Represent the company with regulators and auditors through our regular external audit cycle
Lead the work on customer connectivity and data processing
Act as the senior interface for the section to Compliance, Legal, Credit and customer facing units
Own the company’s 1st line of defence activates in risk management, outsourcing agreements and documentation
Support the customer questionnaire and due diligence process.
Build and operate a permanent process for the review of execution efficiency in all aspects relating to Clearstream client connectivity and data transparency
Support strategic, compliance and information security initiatives
Qualifications / Required skills
Holder of a University degree in business administration or other relevant fields
At least 8 / 10 years of work experience in respective / relevant business areas, preferably in the banking sector or in technology firms
Proven people leadership experience is essential
Technology / big data management background with good financial business knowledge
Experience in project management
Excellent leadership ability and strong individual drive. The chosen candidate must inspire and lead a multi-faceted team with varying experience and educational background.
Ability to work well in a team that may include representatives from a range of business areas, and high-level commitment and motivation
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and complete documentation of decision making
Communication and negotiation skills, including ability to present complex matters in a clear and comprehensive way
High degree of professionalism and the ability to independently complete complex projects
Willingness to travel
Position may require shift work or work on certain public holidays to ensure support for business markets
Proficiency in written and oral English; proficiency in German would be considered an asset
