Lead Area Superintendent Electrical

Luxembourg based role

Project Hire Position for approximately 12 months.

Candidates must have either an Electrical or Instrumentation background


Successful candidate will be monitoring and looking after all discipline construction works within the designated plant area which is predominantly Electrical and Instrumentation focused.

Reporting to the construction manager, the Lead Area Superintendent position will be responsible for overseeing work being executed by nominated subcontractors for the safe delivery and handover of construction work to the onsite commissioning team.

Candidates must have a strong electrical and instrumentation bias however must be capable of overseeing structural, piping and mechanical discipline works.

In addition, the successful candidate is also expected to :

Capable of :

  • Provide direction, and support for Contractors;
  • Coordinate construction activities for Contractors’ and subcontractors ensuring no interface problems arise;
  • Monitor, expedite, and supervise all contractor activities;
  • Ensure the satisfactory operations and maintenance of all temporary facilities;
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE requirements, and that only; trained experienced operators are used on critical works;
  • Promote a safe working environment on site with subcontractor personnel to ensure all HSE goals are achieved;
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Quality requirements;
  • Evaluate Contractor’s, competencies, procedures and work processes;
  • Ensue Contractor’s staffing and competencies are maintained throughout the construction phase;
  • Ensure Contractor’s operates a field construction quality surveillance program as per approved quality manual / plans;
  • Review Contractor’s method statements to ensure work will be performed in a controlled safe manor;
  • Ensure Non-Conformance Reports and / or Technical Assurance Alerts are raised as appropriate; and

    Review Contractor’s ITP’s and verifying the required minimum level of inspection points have been identified for each equipment type.


  • Must demonstrate leadership skills, and be able to coordinate the efforts of and motivate subordinates;
  • Must be knowledgeable of electrical and instrumentation construction practices;
  • Knowledgeable and have a good understanding of structural, piping and mechanical discipline work;
  • Must have the enthusiasm to take ownership and drive their assigned area through to completions;
  • Knowledgeable and familiar with industry specifications, codes and standards;
  • Must be able to monitor contractors / subcontractors for deficiencies;
  • Must be computer literate, proficient with (Microsoft Office or equivalent); and

    Must be fluent in English with strong written, and oral communication skills


    Able to communicate in a second language, ideally German and or French.
