Within the framework of our Luxembourg based activities, we are recruiting a : Junior Derivatives Instruments Employee (m / f) For 24 months fixed period contract

To strengthen the Complex Instrument Section within the Operation PlanningDepartment

Your responsibilities

  • Timely process derivatives transactions, including confirmations, valuation,monitoring, matching instructions, etc.
  • Process cash and securities Collateral transactions
  • Perform various tasks like system testing in a timely and qualitative manner
  • Make proof of sense and sound judgment towards risk awareness
  • Inform the Section Head of all risks of error and actual errors as soon as detectedand evaluate their impact.
  • Education

  • Academic background ( A level+2) in Finance
  • Experience

  • Up to 2 years of experience in Derivative transaction processing or experience insecurities Operations or Fund accounting coupled with a good understanding of Derivative products
  • Knowledge

  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of a Financial organization and related supervisory bodies
  • Good understanding of the Derivatives world, definition and specificities of all different derivatives types and their related operational handling (including collateral management)
  • Fair understanding of the Custody and Fund business principles (Luxembourg and Cayman Funds)
  • Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • French is considered as an asset
  • IT skills

  • Good command of the Microsoft Office package with an advanced knowledge of Excel being an advantage
  • SimCorp Dimension for the booking of Derivatives instruments, cash and securities collateral, term deposits and cash flows being an asset
  • Personal skills

  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Client service, quality and risk oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure with focus on timely delivery
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to take initiatives in the best interest of the Bank and the team
  • Criminal record : This position may require a condition of a good repute. The law on

    the financial sector provides that the good repute of a candidate shall be assessed on

    the basis of (i) criminal records and (ii) any evidence tending to show that the

    candidate is of good repute and offering every guarantee of irreproachable

    conduct. Eventually the candidate’s name will also be screened through our name

    screening tool which imports, respectively, the latest versions of the World-Check

    blacklists, and runs an automated screening process of all names.
