Job summary

We are looking for an accomplished and data driven Program Manager to join the EU Books Pricing & Promotions team based in Luxembourg.

As part of the team, you will be an advocate for the customer and help define our strategy.

The Program Manager supports two critical functions that are at the heart of what makes Amazon reader’s favourite choice around the world : 1) Pricing Strategy helping define and deliver pricing strategies and programs that build customer trust, and 2) Pricing Operations supporting our pricing intelligence and pricing engines.

The role is inherently cross-functional you will have to work with a diverse team including Pricing, Product Management and Marketing, as well as stay closely connected to various global teams at Amazon to assist the delivery of the best pricing experience for customers.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in a dynamic environment, think big and be comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.

You should have strong business and communication skills, be comfortable analysing data to provide data-driven recommendations, and be able to partner with stakeholders to define key business questions and build solutions that answer them.

You will be expected to have a detailed understanding of our business while never losing sight of the broader problems that we are trying to solve.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify and deliver opportunities to delight customers and drive growth
  • Partner with other Pricing, Product, Marketing and technical teams to deliver complete solutions that support business needs
  • Deliver projects from start to finish, including stakeholder management and communication of results, insights and recommendations
  • Develop and maintain pricing intelligence, enabling data-driven decision making by senior leaders
  • Help senior leaders make customer impacting decisions in real time
  • Leverage data science to improve customer experience
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant work experience in analytical roles such as Pricing, Product Management, Consulting or similar
  • Several years of experience

  • Product Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical concepts and technical teams
  • Experience building relationships in a complex organization
  • International or global work experience
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated ability to make prioritizing decisions
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • SQL and MS Excel fluency
  • R, Python or Machine Learning basics are a plus
