FUND ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST (M / F) The Fund Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful and accurate completion of the accounting and administrative servicing requirements for various alternative and / or mutual fund products and structures for assigned funds.

The Fund Accounting Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the operational tasks performed by our Dublin office in order to successfully meet client deliverables in the Fund Accounting Department.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring premier client service standards are achieved within specified deadlines and according to best practice operations.


  • Ensure all established fund accounting processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Serve as main daily contact for our colleagues in Dublin in relation to a range of clients and their deliverables;
  • Work with Manager to ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures;
  • Review monthly / quarterly revenue for assigned funds;
  • Review and monitor expense budget analysis;
  • Review and approve work performed by the Dublin office;
  • Review, approve and provide comments were applicable of month-end / quarter-end valuations prepared by our Dublin office;
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of offshore and domestic fund accounting requirements for alternative and / or mutual funds;
  • Problem and error and query resolution on a timely basis (with documentation);
  • Work with our Dublin colleagues to meet client month-end / Quarter-end valuation and reporting deliverables;
  • Ability to cover all funds within the team when required;
  • Enforce adherence to service standards and specified deadlines;
  • Idea generation and ongoing assessment and improvement of operational service model;
  • Maintain a good working relationship with external clients as well as with internal relationship managers and other business units ;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures;
  • Ensure a seamless operational transition for new and converted funds from implementation to production mode from the implementation / conversion team;
  • Work on Projects / Adhoc tasks as required.

  • 3+ years fund accounting background with experience in Alternatives / Mutual Funds; Ideally Private equity / Private Debt experience
  • Experience in supervisory skills and / or coaching / mentoring
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Fluency in English Language (both verbal and written) essential;
  • Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities;
  • Positive 'can do' attitude with excellent problem solving skills;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Team player;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage time to maximize efficiency and to meet strict deadlines;
  • Flexible / Adaptable;
  • proficient;
  • Third Level Degree in Finance or related field.
  • Knowledge of Investment (Financial) Services industry in Luxembourg;
  • Knowledge of Private equity and Private debt funds
  • Project management experience;
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering requirements;
  • Proven Supervisory experience;
  • Knowledge and expertise of the FIS Investran system a plus.
  • Knowledge and expertise of the Advent Geneva system a plus.
