The overall purpose and objective of this position is :
Supervise / Manage the Load Control department on a daily basis providing the effort necessary to secure the daily safecoordination, supervision and correct load preparation as well as optimized aircraft loading / aircraft handling.
Support the Area Operations organization in achieving and maintaining load preparation and aircraft loading / handling in line with company agreed best practices.
Responsibilities of the position holder
The position holder has to achieve clearly defined tasks, goals and results. She / he must follow internal work related procedures defined in eCARE.
She / he must report deviations to the superior(s) and is required to initiate activities / actions and manage administration procedures within the field of responsibilities.
Responsible to provide internal and external customer services and consulting.
Responsible of the employees directing and supervising the build up of pallets and loading / offloading of pallets in / out of the aircraft and is responsible that the operation is completed within the scheduled time allocated with enough manpower in close coordination with Ramp & Hub Steering.
Supervise and record the signing off of airworthy documents. (load sheet, load plan and notocs) that all safety requirements on board of Cargolux flights are met, once the cargo loading process is completed according to the predefined eCARE Manual procedures.
Establish a working schedule for staff to allow an operation without any disruption due to lack of staff, coordinate load master positioning, hotels, tickets, visas in cooperation with travel office and crew scheduling.
Charter and flight / station coverage)
Take care of staff training before license expiry dates.
Steadily monitor the aircraft schedule for eventual shift arrangements.

General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur)
At least 7 years of experience in a similar position or previous exposure to Ground Operations / Global Logistics or equivalent would be considered as a distinct advantage
Fluency in written and spoken English and French, other languages are a distinct advantage
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook), advanced knowledge of Excel would be considered as a distinct advantage
Action orientated; having the ability to take on new challenges with a sense of urgency
Dealing effectively with complexity and having good problem solving skills
Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
Being able to take decisions within tight deadlines
Feeling comfortable to work in a team as well as autonomously

Working Conditions :
The position demands a regular and full-time presence.
Flexibility with working hours may be requested.
The position is based in Luxembourg and occasional travel may be required
