EPO negotiates the purchases contracts of products and services for the group mills worldwide, designing and implementing relevant strategies to anticipate market evolutions and establish transformation programs.
Within the European Procurement Organisation, in an international and multicultural environment, the Buyer is responsible of the sourcing of refractories.
Main activities :
1.Global Negotiations and supplier management
a.Make & coordinate negotiations with the selected suppliers
c.Prepare and develop Supplier Market strategy
d.Analyze offers and comparison documents
e.Documentation of negotiations in minutes
f.Prepare EON for higher management approval and prepare the contracts in the system
g.Communicate results to plants
h.Maintain pricelists and contracts
2.Coordinate and support local buyers in relation with :
a.Negotiation for specific projects : volume tender, full service, cost per ton, long term contracts.
b.Initiate and follow-up of cost reduction projects
d.Regular communication with the plants
3.Supporting the supply chain of refractories, mainly related to global o regional suppliers : support plant buyers with issues on deliveries, quality, payments
4.Reporting on KPI’s
a.Performance of plants against budget
b.Development of captive sources
c.Development of low cost / price alternatives
d.Improvement of contracts
5.Managing technical and commercial database for refractories
a.Collecting and analyzing data
b.Optimize capture and updating of data
6.IT tools : use of CLM and SAP systems
Minimum Applicant Attribute
Education / Qualification : Master Engineering
Subject : Metallurgy or ceramics Language and Proficiency Level : English Advanced
