HEAD OF RISK (M / F)
DO Recruitment Advisors are delighted to represent a large international asset manager in their search for their Head of Risk.
You will be part of a global risk team responsible for the oversight of all funds of the management company. You will also hold the position of Conducting Officer in charge of the Luxembourg Risk function.
THE ROLE :
Lead the Risk function and be the subject matter expert on risk-related Regulatory matters.
Inspire, develop and mentor the Risk team members to ensure their ongoing engagement and skill set development and ensure the completion of daily Risk Management tasks.
Overseeing risk management for other fund families in Europe and the UK, and providing key guidance on setting up the risk management framework for any new fund family
Participate in the global regulatory operations effort and provide guidance on risk management frameworks
Oversee the preparation monthly risk management reports to be sent to the management and risk teams. Be a key decision maker in terms of escalation, reporting and follow up linked to all risk management items
Serving as voting member of various committees charged with reviewing enterprise risk issues for the region.
Present risk management reports to the ManCo Board of Directors and to the Boards of Directors of all the funds within the remit of the Manco.
Ensuring that adequate policies and procedures as well as Service Level Descriptions related to risk management are established and maintained, including Risk Management Process (RMP) documents for Luxembourg funds, Irish and UK funds or other funds as needed.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
7+ years experience within a risk management / monitoring role
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the Luxembourg regulatory environment for the investment fund business
Ability to deal with a diverse workload in a logical manner, working closely with the senior leadership and in a team environment, through project management and prioritisation
Experience with using technology and data to improve processes and find efficiencies with strong technology skills such as SQL, Python, data management etc an advantage
Proven history of team management and development
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with others
Fluent in English, French or German will be an advantage
Ability to work proactively
Strong attention to detail, strong communication skills
