What you will do

Reporting to the Treasury Director EMEA, this function will participate in the implementation of JCI’s Global Cash Management Strategy and in the management of the Company’s bank relationships in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The function will also be responsible for Treasury compliance.

How you will do it

Bank Relationship and Liquidity Management

  • Issuing RFI / RFP’s, negotiating and finalizing cash pool terms and conditions, and managing implementations
  • Negotiating, reviewing, understanding, reconciling and maintaining bank fees, cash-pool and credit facility agreements
  • Negotiating, reviewing, understanding, reconciling and maintaining bank fees, cash-pool and credit facility agreements

  • Managing the Company’s bank relationships in EMEA region
  • Responsible for bank account management in EMEA
  • Back-ups for Company’s daily cash and liquidity in EMEA region
  • Responsible for approving / rejecting the adhoc bank guarantee requests from the Business
  • Support further deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of Trax, the Company’s straight-through global payment platform over SwiftNet
  • Support Treasury Director in providing Treasury Advisory Services to Business Units.
  • Compliance

    This position supervises the adherence to JCI Policies & Procedures by the EMEA Regional Treasury Center and by the Global Financial Risk Management Group as well as compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Monitor compliance with Policies and Procedures through daily / monthly / quarterly exception reports
  • Prepare quarterly reports for the US Security & Exchanges Commission (SEC) as well as for management disclosure in the Company’s consolidated quarterly / annual reports
  • Prepare and publish the Company’s Corporate Accounting Rates
  • Maintain and review financial counterparties’ credit rating and compliance with EU and US Sanctions (OFAC)
  • Develop and maintain Regional Treasury Policies, Procedures, Operational Guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley Matrix.
  • Required :

  • Graduate university degree
  • 2-5 years working experience in the Treasury department of a large international company, major financial institution or large consultancy firm
  • Good understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and cash management
  • Detail oriented; strong analytical and communication skills
  • Poised personality, well organized, capable of taking initiatives and work in a team based environment
  • An energetic, creative, results-oriented organizer with a focus on value adding processes and customer service
  • Above average computer skills
  • Fluent in English.
  • Desirable :

  • Graduate university degree equivalent to MBA with a major in Finance
  • Additional European languages an asset
  • Knowledge of Treasury Systems (Quantum preferred), Payment Factory Systems (Trax preferred), Inter-company Netting and SwiftNet connectivity is an asset.
