As the head of Cross Border Compliance you will manage a diverse global group of program and product managers building and executing the controls to govern the core exports programs ensuring the safe and compliance customer journey when buying products outside their domestic website.

It also provides controls to business’s ambitious programs to bringing international selection to domestic websites and powering sharing of inventory across regions and countries.

The key areas of responsibility for this role are :

Stakeholder management : Influencing a group of cross-functional team of legal, business, tech and compliance stakeholders globally.

You understand the business plans, customers risk areas and legal requirements to operationalise the right controls required to support business expansion within a framework of risk reduction.

Continuous improvement : Working with the Operations and Product / Tech teams to identify and execute the projects to continuously improve the quality of controls provided and the efficiency of the program as a mechanism to scale.

Building the future : You will be responsible for partnering with the business and tech teams to identify and design the future state of the program, the processes and services provided, adjusting the team’s strategy by taking regulatory changes as well as business expansion models

Day to day responsibilities :

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovative regulatory and compliance initiatives
  • Manage escalations with strong bias for action, while building an escalation management framework
  • Track and monitor performance against program goals, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage defects and ensure implementation of controls to minimize compliance risks.

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in leading program management teams
  • Experience shaping program strategy, prioritization, and specification
  • Excellent communication (written / oral) and stakeholder / partner management
  • An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree and / or advanced studies in business, engineering, or computer science
  • Ability to lead in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment under aggressive deadlines who can drive results from cross-functional teams.
  • Exercise sound judgment to make consistently good decisions on the behalf of the customer and the business
  • Comfortable using complex data analytics to drive business strategy.
  • Ability to leverage and analyze customer data to drive and inform merchandising decisions.
  • Excellent personal leadership, change management and ability to influence cross-functionally can conduct a dialogue that is intellectually honest, brings out diversity of ideas and creates the appropriate team connectivity.
  • Strong communicator of the company’s strategic initiatives, purpose, vision, culture and plan.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing innovative marketing approaches to problem-solving and partnering with.
