POSITION SUMMARY
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as Systems Requirements Manager as part of the systems engineering competency at our Bascharage, Luxembourg or Nuremburg, Germany technical centers.
The Systems Architect is responsible for development of inverter concepts according to stakeholder requirements
She or he is technically leading the System Engineers to develop the inverter functions and is responsible for the alignment of the system concepts.
She or he defines the implementation of functions by hardware and software blocks.
The system architect is first contact for project management, customer and engineering disciplines within the BorgWarner team.
She or he is supporting the trouble shooting on internal and external test facilities and drives the product change process within the Systems Engineering team.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with a European customer to evaluate and specify concepts for power electronic inverters
Analyze and clarify Stakeholder Requirements with partners and other relevant inter-departments.
Take the lead in technical and architectural decisions about the translation of complex specifications into designs
Promote and implement current technology standards, formulate innovative and robust solutions in a competitive environment.
Develop a top-level system architecture according to stakeholder requirements (customer specific, internal, regulatory, FuSA...)
Contribute to a team-work focused approach and provide guidance to select the best solutions and make it a reality.
Generate System Architecture Documentation
Participate in Hardware and Software configuration, troubleshooting and change management with the customer and internally
Support internal and external integration, verification, and validation programs
Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Engineering degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic or similar
7 plus years of experience in Automotive Mechatronic Systems Engineering; e-Mobility is a benefit
Understanding of vehicle Inverter and e-Machine systems requirements (electrical machine control) and concepts
Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software in embedded systems
Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art requirements management and SysML / UML tools; Matlab / Simulink is a benefit
Experienced in customer contact
Good knowledge in Functional Safety and ISO26262
Intercultural, communication and team players skills are mandatory
Fluency in English and German is required
