We are looking for a talented lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving devices (e.g., Kindle eReaders, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, Echo / Alexa, Ring, Blink, eero).

You will serve as a lawyer responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of marketing, commercial and regulatory matters, and for structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions.

You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including marketing, digital media, consumer products, commercial contracts, privacy and regulatory compliance.

You will be part of the legal team that supports Amazon's devices and digital businesses in Luxembourg and Europe.

This position will be based in Luxembourg. Some travel may be required.

  • Qualified lawyer with excellent academic record
  • Post-qualification legal experience in an international law firm
  • Experience in technology, media and commercial transactional work, supporting consumer-products, manufacturing, e-commerce or retail businesses
  • High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising executives of an organization
  • A team player and consensus builder with great people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
  • Outstanding legal and business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
  • Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
  • Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate contracts
  • Proficiency in another EU language (German, Spanish and French) strongly preferred
  • In house experience at a technology company or in a private practice technology group is a plus
