Overview and Responsibilities :
The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Contract Risk Manager, EU will have the primary role to manage outsourced work performed for any Amazon business unit in the EU and UK.
In this role, they will be the primary liaison to third parties, Procurement, local Health & Safety teams, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering, Legal, Loss Prevention on the successful execution of health and safety information, training programs and specific documents relating to work being performed.
Specifically, they will work on establishing Amazon WHS requirements for contractors through the system and assuring contractor safety obligations are met at all sites.
They will partner with the Global CRM team and system partners on interface enhancements on the software, and develop and execute a detailed implementation plan for large vendors and smaller vendors at the network and site level.
This position will be based in Luxembourg with 20-40% of time travelling within the EU region.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop a deep working relationship and partnership with Procurement, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Research & Design, RME, Loss Prevention, Legal, EU WHS, and WW WHS.
Updating, maintaining and assisting the network in the implementation of the Contractor Prequalification process as outlined in the EU WHS Contractor Management Procedure.
Development and execution of the Amazon Workers Management process from a WHS perspective.
Supervise facilities escalation management, vendor dispatch and tracking, documentation and resolution management for multiple Amazon business units with and without dedicated onsite maintenance personnel, local WHS, Procurement or Security.
Become the Workers Management SME and share lessons learned with other regions around the world that are also implementing the same program.
Establish Contractor Workers Management training requirements for stakeholders at the site and network levels.
Development and execution of the Amazon Contractor Prequalification process.
Liaison from a WHS perspective for contractor outreach and communications.
Establish and manage Amazon’s contractor induction process.
Establish a check-in / check-out process using contractor prequalification data.
Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to contractor compliance and respond to network and outside questions.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) the network can use to measure contractor performance at the network and site levels.
Manage Amazon’s contractor field safety audits compared to prequalification submissions.
Support the EU WHS Compliance and Governance team in audit expectations and procedure clarifications related to Contractor Management.
Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required.
