POSITION SUMMARY
The Hardware Architect Engineer is responsible for customer HW requirements management, translation of customer requirements in to detailed HW product requirements, design items, and compliance testing for power electronics inverters.
You will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team, working on latest state of the art 800V SiC and 400V Si / SiC Inverters for Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles for the eMobility mass market.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with German or European customers to evaluate and specify power electronic inverters
Analyze HW Stakeholder Requirements (Customer and Internal)
Decompose Stakeholder requirements in to architectural blocks, I / O interfaces and system requirements / design that are assigned to Hardware Electronic, Mechanical, validation and Manufacturing engineering team.
Generate Product Definition Document (detailed product electrical requirements)
Generate power electronics controllers design concept (Product Mechanization).
Develop requirements to embedded test software used in validation and manufacturing
Perform change management with the customer and internally
Develop product functional test plan (compliance testing)
Perform product functional hardware bench testing
Provide technical support hardware environmental and electromagnetic compatibility validation
Support customer test and validation programs
Analyze customer issued and internal issue tickets, try to reproduce them and coordinate their resolution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Masters Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronic or an associated field
Good foundation knowledge in hardware embedded systems
Experience within effective problem solving methodologies
Strong communication skills are essential
Big picture thinker with an eye for details
Fluency in English is required, German and French are a plus
Experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility (Hardware) is a benefit.
High Voltage Inverter experience is a benefit
AIAG / VDA FMEA training is a benefit
