For our securities services activities in Luxembourg, we are currently looking to recruit a : Manager - Accounting and Valuations Alternatives Permanent contract Role and Responsibilities : Reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting, the role holder will provide a first class Fund Accounting service for clients in a risk controlled and regulatory compliant environment while ensuring that all service delivery output from the team is completed to agreed quality and timing targets.
The service covers all types of offshore investment vehicles.
The role holder will also lead and manager the A&V Alternatives team (3-4 individuals).
Principal accountabilities : -Accounting & Valuations Alternative Funds : Producing the valuations for Alternative funds in close collaboration with Kolkata and Colombo.
Willing to act as a thought leader and provide managerial assistance for the wider A&V department as required, including but not limited, to ad-
hoc support of UCITS and PE teams.
Accounting qualification (BA or equivalent) -Minimum of 10 years relevant management experience in the provision of fund accounting services with a significant amount of experience of traditional fund structures and products -
Good PC skills -Thorough knowledge of accounting for securities and derivatives and / or Fund of funds and / or Private equity funds -
Strong understanding of fund structure : pooling / multi-class / feeder -Strong understanding of Luxembourg Fund regulation -
Thorough grasp of key controls and their application -Ability to organize and motivate direct reports -Fluent in English, both written and oral -
Ability to work under stress and respect deadlines -Flexible, autonomic and adapt quickly to new environment -Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and develop a group of high performing individuals -
Experience of dealing directly with Senior Management in client organizations and at other third parties -Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities -
Commitment to service quality -Fluent English essential, knowledge of German or other European languages would be a definite advantage.
