Serve as contact point for researchers for information about national, European and international funding opportunities and related procedures;
Assist academic staff in the preparation, submission and acceptance of grants, including pre-review and budget planning, as well as in the management of research projects, including negotiation of collaboration agreements;
Support the project owners to comply with terms and conditions of the different funding bodies and closely liaise with the LCSB controlling team regarding monitoring budgets, including financial reporting;
Keep internal records and provide funding statistics to support the preparation of reports and dissemination activities;
Contribute to the implementation and improvement of grant management processes and procedures;
Participate in meetings, info days, and other events related to the mission;
Ensure cooperation and communication within the IC, with central administration, other research entities, partner institutions as well as funding bodies and external stakeholder.
The successful candidate is demonstrating a proactive, welcoming and service-minded attitude; disposing of very good communication skills and the ability to plan and work on simultaneous tasks with a sense of priority.
University degree (Master level) and experience in a research environment; an educational background in life sciences or a related discipline would be considered a strong advantage;
Experience of min. 2 years in research and project management, project monitoring, proposal writing, budget planning, and related reporting;
Experience with different funding mechanisms, rules and requirements is a strong advantage;
Excellent command of English and a working knowledge of French and / or German ;
Proficiency with modern office software, spread sheets and collaborative platforms;
Team player, diplomatic & able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment;
Have the ability to prioritise workload, keep deadlines reliably and work responsibly with attention to detail and accuracy.
