Your team

As Senior Compliance Officer Monitoring, you will proactively contribute to the control and monitoring of the compliance risk of the Bank and its foreign branches by carrying out monitoring activities as part of the monitoring programme or in the course of special compliance risk control and monitoring assignments.

You will be a member of the Monitoring team in the Compliance Department of Pictet & Cie (Europe) in Luxembourg, which has branches in several countries, and you will work together with the Advisory, Client Acceptance and Reviewing teams.

You will have an open-ended contract and be expected to start as soon as possible.

Your role

  • Organising and conducting monitoring activities of higher-risk transactions using specific IT tools to ensure anti-money laundering / anti-terrorist financing (AML / CFT) compliance.
  • Conducting surveillance activities on transactions in financial instruments in order to prevent market abuse.
  • Assisting with controls on personal transactions.
  • Conducting investor protection checks and reviews.
  • Helping to establish and provide risk indicators (KRIs) for the Bank's governing bodies as part of the compliance risk reporting system.
  • Providing support with the organisation of the Compliance Department and contributing to the development of its own organisational measures.
  • Conducting ad hoc compliance reviews and analysing the results and defining corrective measures.
  • Being involved in strategic projects to improve the regulatory compliance framework.
  • Your profile

  • Higher-education degree (preferably university or equivalent), or an experienced professional who has completed a course of further training in compliance;
  • legal training would be an ;
  • Previous experience of approximately five years or more in a similar function with a bank or as a financial-sector professional or in an audit function (internal / external) dealing with AML / CFT.
  • Project management and project leadership skills as well as an affinity for contemporary Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) methods.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory practices, particularly AML / CFT and investor protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with asset management and asset servicing and good knowledge of banking operations. Previous experience with the Avaloq banking system would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in French, very good knowledge of English (or vice versa); good understanding of Italian, Spanish and / or German would be a plus.
  • Discretion, rigour and organisational skills Analytical skills (investigative mindset), sense of proportionality (risk-based approach) and sound critical thinking (professional judgement) Writing and communication skills, sense of diplomacy Team spirit (solidarity) At ease using computer systems and new technologies as well as an interest in these areas.
