Established in 1984, they manage a range of privateequity real estate investments. The investment team constantly screens forattractive investment opportunities utilizing Franklin Templeton’s globalpresence and network of real estate partners.
FT Alternatives’ operationalheadquarters are based in Boston and support the FRAA investment teams in NewYork and London.
Whatwill this role entail?
FRAAis seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Consultant specialized in IFRS anddirect real estate investment structures to round out the accounting andoperations team.
This includescoordinating the financials, audit, property transactions and cash flowrequirements. Role specific initiatives will be focused on supervisingstatutory and regulatory reporting, with a priority on the direct real estateplatform.
The ideal candidate will havea strong IFRS / accounting background, be able to direct and conduct a variety offinancial reporting activities for real estate and have a good understanding ofLuxembourg regulatory requirements.
Whatare the primary responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Consultant?
Own the quarterly financial statements and NAVunder IFRS, Lux, U.S. and other local GAAP requirements
Oversee the property and company level auditsas well as any local regulatory reporting
Work closely with dedicated third-partyadministrators, auditors, and asset managers
Provision financial information to internalclients, applicable regulatory reporting (CSSF, AIFMD), quarterly boardpresentations and investor reporting
Whatare additional responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Consultant ?
Review property and asset manager reporting tomonitor transactions and budgets
Provide assistance on the day to day cashmanagement process
Develop and maintain strong relationships withthe investment team, FT Managing Shareholders, ManCos, Depositary, Admin, andall external service providers : tax, legal, property managers, localaccountants, etc.
Help lead fund accounting and operations byrecommending best practices, documenting procedures, and managing audit, riskand compliance reviews.
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
4-7+ years of accounting or audit experienceworking for a Big 4 on direct real estate funds and investments in Europe
Motivated, self-starter with strong analytical skills,and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly while prioritizing to meetdeadlines in a highly demanding environment
Strong understanding of the mechanics andfundamentals of real estate private equity (financial reporting, capital calls,distributions, cash management, debt servicing, etc)
Demonstrated ability to manage, improve andlead daily processes, reporting and a willingness to be an active team player
Experience with data analytics applicable fordirect real estate and accounting systems (MRI, Yardi, others)
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsrequired
ACCA or similar accounting qualification
