To this end, Microsoft brought together it best technical resources and product experts into the Customer Success Organization (CSU), that works very closely with our customers, partners, and our product teams to enable our customers successfully adopt Microsoft Cloud solution and services.

The Customer Success Unit is responsible for turning plans and ambitions into reality to help our customers realize their digital transformation value, covering the entirety of the Microsoft Cloud, be it Infrastructure, Applications, or Data & AI.

The Western Europe Customer Success Unit is now opening the Infrastructure lead position. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to lead our country CSA (Cloud Solution Architect) teams and drive usage growth of Azure platforms.


The Western Europe Area CSA (Cloud Solution Architect) Leader role will own Area level customer success plan and execution for Infrastructure and prioritize Area level big bets and related investments.

This is an exciting leadership role that will fuel customer success, retention, growth, renewal and advocacy by working with the country CSU teams to :

  • Exceed consumption of Azure balancing attainment of investment budget.
  • Hire, develop, support, coach and enable CSAs to ensure effective delivery against goals.
  • Foster exceptional cross-team collaboration and communication. Partner with all required Microsoft stakeholders in the subsidiary and at Area / corp level to drive CSA role clarity and effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Voice the customer within Microsoft, representing the customers interests, generate insights and removing obstacles.
  • Drive operational excellence, including timely consumption opportunity management and high-quality reporting and insights.
  • Identify and document consumption best practices and customer references to further grow the success of the CSA program.
  • Your Key Responsibilities as an Area Leader will include :

  • Driving RoB with subs to support business rhythm, consumption pipeline development etc.
  • Being the Role Model for the country CSA community to infuse the culture of Transforming while Delivering .
  • Enabling countries to execute in line with strategy while aligning the countries around a coherent area execution framework.
  • Generating clarity to the CSA community regarding their roles and responsibilities as well as their relations with the rest of the CSU organization and the rest of the functions in the field and in Corp.
  • Sponsorship for and direct involvement with selected key accounts.
  • Aligning activities with other WE functions (Sales, Marketing, etc.) for countries to work most effectively.
  • Building and nurturing the CSA community - extracting insights and sharing across the area and with Corp, key learning from successes as well as failures (good partner connections, industry solutions that can be replicated, etc.
  • and driving consumption culture in WE.

  • Coaching and supporting the CSA Manager Community into promoting the continuous growth of CSAs from a learning and career development perspective.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in People Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in building or consulting for complex systems, ideally a strong architecture or engineering background.
  • An experience in designing migration plans of services and apps to the Cloud is a big plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in driving Change Management & effective Adoption within key technologies.
  • Proven ability to map the customer’s business process to product capability.
  • Strong technical understanding of Secure Productive Enterprise workloads.
  • Top-notch executive engagement and communication skills.
  • Additional Details

    This is a Western Europe Role and can be based in any European Country, ideally close to a large Airport.
