Your mission

  • In support of the IT Department, the Consultant will :
  • Take ownership of the Projects delivery, working with external suppliers and internal staff members
  • Ensure alignment of the Projects with the IT strategy and the overall IT architecture
  • Oversee and QA work done by third parties to ensure they are delivering
  • Manage the Projects budgets within agreed limits
  • Work with the project management office to ensure that the Projects are run in accordance with the standards
  • Create and maintain the Projects schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the Projects product / service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact the Projects progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts
  • Develop robust test methodology / strategy, test plans and test execution to mitigate any risk to the ongoing business operations
  • Prepare and lead the Projects steering committees and other decision making bodies
  • Ensure coordination with other IT and business initiatives to avoid conflicts and prioritise work accordingly
  • Your profile

    The Consultant will have the following profile :

  • Degree level qualification in IT or a related discipline
  • At least 6 years working experience in the field of IT
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in domain of IT
  • Test management experience as it relates to the following areas, networks, data centre services, cloud operations, service management (ITIL), IT security, Microsoft technologies
  • Experience and expertise in IT project management; qualification or proven ability with a formal methodology e.g. Prince, PMI
  • Understanding of the operational environment of a financial institution, with an emphasis on IT infrastructure and Microsoft applications
  • Deep technical knowledge of one or more of the following areas, networks, data centre services, cloud operations, service management (ITIL), IT security, Microsoft technologies
  • Relevant experience in managing outsourced arrangements and delivery teams
  • Relevant experience in change management, testing methodologies and structured development approaches
  • Fluency in verbal and written English - any other language skills are considered an asset
  • Relevant personal qualities and capabilities (service oriented, independent, motivated, reliable, co-operative, flexible, stress resilient) and effective in a highly demanding, dynamic, multi-
  • priority, performance driven IT work environments in a lead role

  • Excellent computer skills including use of Internet, MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint, MS Lync, MIS
