To accompany its continuous growth, IBBL is recruiting an : Biorepository Specialist 1 year fixed-term contract, full time, Start date : ASAP The Biorepository Specialist is responsible for organizing and performing logistics, handling and documentation of all incoming, outgoing and stored biological samples.
Key Accountabilities The Biorepository Specialist contributes, plans, prioritizes and organizes the full range of activities.
He / She is also the key support of the Head of unit for a wide variety of activities : Temperature monitoring (definition, configuration, software owner).
Equipment management (needs identification, order, inventory, qualification, maintenance).
Biological samples management (reception, verification, inventory, storage, redistribution).
Complex outbound shipments (definition, organisation, preparation).
Stock management (consumables).
Dealing with suppliers.
Procedures writing and application.
Processes improvement and optimization Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.
3-5 years of successful experience in a similar position.
Proficiency in the use of computers relative to technical equipment used and general office software (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)).
Strong organizational, task prioritizing and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule Rigorous documentation skills.
Ability to work for short periods in -20 C cold rooms and with liquid nitrogen (-196 C), with appropriate protective clothing.
Written and oral communication skills.
Desired criteria, assets Experience in one or more of the following domains : Logistics Lean Manufacturing Stock management Equipment maintenance Prior experience in working with human biological material.
Language skills Proficient in English and French (verbal and written).
Additional fluency in German would be an asset.
