ERP SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M / F)

Laboratoire national de santé (a Luxembourg public institution) is recruiting a ERP Software Engineer (m / f) for a full time (40h / week) and permanent contract starting as soon as possible.

Our organization is looking for a software engineer to enforce its dynamic IT Unit in a growing situation. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of application suite (ODOO) for different internal and external projects related to our business activities.

You will be the technical contact with our ERP contractor and responsible to manage all the interoperability of the ERP as a member of a project team of seven members.

You will also give advice on IT solutions or tools to be put in place and will ensure the maintenance of developed solutions.

On this position, you will have a real impact on the patient care of the country.

About the LNS

The Luxembourg National Health Laboratory, Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is a public institution operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg.

It is organised as a multidisciplinary institute, which along with an administrative department, includes six scientific departments related to the fields of morphological and molecular pathology, genetics, medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection.

The LNS has new premises with modern, top-notch infrastructure to respond to the requirements and most recent developments in medical and analytical sciences.

The purpose of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases;

to ensure the role of a national control and reference laboratory and to provide medico-legal services.

The LNS contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of laboratory methods in projects in cooperation with other laboratories and develops research and teaching activities in collaboration with ad hoc partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Propose information system architecture according to targets of the LNS

Implement the solutions chosen and maintain them after their implementation

Use his expertise to advice the other department in their choice

Take part into the preparation of internal and external workshops

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Contribute to the implementation of the objectives of the LNS through the development of a reactive and proactive technical expertise

Contribute to the development of the application suite (ODOO) by working with external provider and implement internal new modules

Manage the software part of the Internet and Intranet websites

Advise, coach, train the user and develop procedures

Maintain thorough knowledge in IT through permanent monitoring and participation in events

Communicate with the system team to ensure consistency between software and infrastructure

Measure security and GDPR impacts at each step of the projects and maintenances

DESIRED PROFILE

At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent diploma (with a Master level)

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position

Experience of large development projects

Fluency in French and English (written and oral), any other language being an asset

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to analyze needs, troubleshoot and able to work on problem-solving solutions

Ability to write technical documentation, followed by projects and operating procedures

Open mind on new technologies and you master few of the following technologies :

HL7 and IHE

Java, JavaScript, Python

Linux / Unix, Windows

Familiar with modern version control systems GIT

Mirth

Database modelling with a proved ability to adapt and learn new languages

Strong safety awareness

Rigor, dynamism, organizational capacity and responsiveness

Customer service : communicating, explaining and maintaining relationships with users. Ability to manage stress and work in a team

Knowledge of quality management systems and knowledge of the relevant accreditation schemes is considered an asset (e.g.

ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO / IEC 17025 : 2017 and ISO 15189 : 2012)
