The Procurement function provides a professional service to every division of HSBC, to HSBC Holdings, to all HSBC Group companies in the local country.
In order to strengthen our Luxembourg team, we are looking to recruit a : Account Payable Officer 13-month fixed-term contract Reporting to the Luxembourg Head of Procurement, the role is part of the Account Payable (AP) team in Luxembourg and will have a role in supporting the Businesses and Functions on payment process.
Role and Responsibilities : The Account Payable Officer will support the AP Operations by ensuring timely processing of all invoices, journals, and staff travel & entertainment claims by understanding and controlling the related end-to-end process.
Part of AP role is to ensuring adherence to internal / external policies and procedures, as well as ensuring controls are in place to counter fraud, bribery and incorrect / duplicate payments.
The AP Officer will report and recover incorrect payments made, respond to related internal (local or global) and external customer inquiries and resolve issues of a non-routine nature.
In addition, the AP Officer will assist Head of Procurement in process optimization.
Experience and skills required : Prior working experience in Accounts Payable is desirable Possess a good understanding of accounting principles Possess good analytical skills Good knowledge and hands on experience on the usage of MS Office (Excel, Word & Access) Self-
