All aspects of leading, planning, organizing and directing the operational activities of the European Distribution and logistics function, including advancing automation capabilities at Gates EMEA distribution facilities.
Achieving the Companies' safety goals, production, profitability, and cost reduction programs, while exceedingcustomer expectations for on-time delivery and service levels.
Ensures Gates is a leader in world class distribution and transportation operations by establishing / maintaining a culture of high performance and employee engagement.
Management and responsibility for DC managers at multiple locations, including Ghent, Moscow, Istanbul and Legnica.
Works closely with regional counterparts in Gates' matrix structure to align with manufacturing, finance, strategic planning and technological advancement (IT).
Works with customers, suppliers and government officials to achieve company strategic objectives.
Travels regularly to DC and plant locations.
Adept at managing strong demand and high growth at multiple distribution facilities while meeting company objectives for performance and cost.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Must be a proven multi-site distribution leader, able to motivate a large diverse group of people and build a team capable of continuously exceeding company objectives.
Demonstrate ability to think strategically and translate vision into tactical action plans that achieve successful business outcomes.
Experience with value add services, including kitting and postponement activities and associated interfaces to ERP planning tools.
Experience working in BPICS and SAP ERP / eWM / TM environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage in a high growth, dynamic, multicultural environment.
Must be analytical and a good problem solver under high pressure situations.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possesses leadership maturity, including the ability to communicate in a concise, transparent manner.
Demonstrated ability to drive performance accountability within all levels of the function.
Demonstrated commitment to work place safety, setting and managing safety expectations and standards.
Strong financial discipline, business acumen and organizational abilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or MBA a plus
At least ten years of specific managerial experience in distribution and logistics management.
Large scale project management, network analytics and WMS implementation desired.
Fluency in multi-languages a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : 5 direct reports, 400 total organization size. TRAVEL : 50%, within region.
