The EIB , the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate,Strategy and Partnerships Department, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Head of Strategy and Partnerships Department.
This is a full time position at grade 8 / 9.
Purpose
As Head of Strategy and Partnerships, you will define, develop and consolidate, in agreement with the Managing Director (MD) and the Deputy MD (DMD), the EIB Global’s strategy as well as its partnerships with other EU bodies, Member States, other donors and multilateral, EU national and other development finance institutions.
carrying out analysis in various areas (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) including impact and results compared to expectations, are the key activities that you will steer.
Moreover, you will lead EIB Global’s relationships with the EU institutions, International and bilateral Financial Institutions and stakeholder groups and coordinate the relations between EIB Global and the Member States in close coordination and to a great extend relying on General Secretariat.
This includes the coordination of the development of new mandates for EIB Global.
You will also contribute to the reshaping and reorganisation of the activities of the department in 2022, both internal within EIB Global and in the relationship to other EIB directorates.
Operating Network
You will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be managing approximately 100 direct and indirect reports.

Experience in several of these would be considered an advantage

There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in French.
If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of French and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank's working languages

The term of this contract will be four years. The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirementsand individual performance.
