We are looking for a smart, analytical, excited and results-oriented Senior Product Manager to drive customer lifecycle initiatives and demand for our EU Books business across both formats (print and digital).

This opportunity is based in Luxembourg.

In this highly visible role, you will work with business and tech teams across both the books and broader Amazon organization in Europe, USA and WW to define innovative new ways to attract new and engage current customers to keep them engaged with reading.

You will be expected to enhance customers experience across all channels and reading devices.

The ideal candidate will have high degrees of customer obsession, strong ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, a demonstrated ability to build scalable processes.

They combines superb product thinking, data-analytics, communication and technical skills, to define the optimal customer experience.

Specific responsibilities include the following :

  • Design, manage and launch customer focused products and initiatives that will engage our customers into buying and reading books
  • Research and identify new opportunities for Amazon to further distinguish itself as the clear role model in offering an end-to-end reading experience
  • Establish the product mission, goals, and supporting business metrics and indicators for success
  • Write product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
  • Coordinate multinational and cross functional team to launch and track product launches
  • Track, dive deep, and communicate business metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle and marketing is a plus
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and implementation is a plus
  • Successful experiences in product management, preferably in delivering products / service
  • Experience working in a global environment; international work experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of translating customer needs into business / product requirements
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Must have strong bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Design, Program Management and Senior Leadership
  • Comfort rolling up sleeves to perform quantitative analysis and reach sound conclusions
  • MBA from a recognized university preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
