The GEB Network, composed of more than 100 local insurancecompanies, is one of the leading partners in the international employeebenefits management field, servicing more than 1,500 international corporatecustomers.

Withinthe Insurance Area - Underwriting Department, the Underwriting Specialist willhold a key role of advisor and decision maker on group life, disability,accident and medical quotes.

Thecandidate will actively contribute to the supervision and coordination ofpricing underwriters based in the local companies of the GEB Network andparticipate in the pricing underwriting activities and strategies of GEBNetwork Partners as far as the Employee Benefits portfolio ceded to GEB isconcerned.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Analyseand approve (local) quotations within the referral frameworW
  • Developand maintain the Renewal Guidelines and enhance the coordination of localportfolios renewal activitieS
  • Contributeto the effective implementation of the Network Underwriting Guidelines of GEBNetwork
  • Supportthe negotiation of ad hoc covers with professional reinsurers (CAT, Surplus )
  • Supportthe local carriers and the GEB Regional Offices as far as all the underwritingissues are concerned
  • Fosterthe GEB underwriting excellence by coordinating a community of underwritersfrom the GEB Network local companies : create synergies and share the GEBNetwork underwriting philosophy and best practices
  • Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements :

  • 5years of experience in pricing and underwriting of Group Life insurance (life,disability, accident, medical lines of risk)
  • Masterdegree in Insurance, Actuarial or Economics / Finance related fields
  • Technicalmindset with experience in life insurance quotation and risk analysis
  • Strongbusiness acumen and understanding of strategic aspects of decision making
  • Curious,dynamic, proactive, not afraid to take ownership
  • Resilientwith strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail
  • Strongcommunicator (oral and written) thanks to good emotional / relationalintelligence
  • Advancedknowledge of English, any other language would be considered an asset
