We are looking for an Operations Supervisor Warehousing to join our growing team in Luxembourg. Your Role The Operations Supervisor Contract Logistics is responsible for the continuous improvement of warehouse operations by guiding and developing the warehouse staff as well as monitoring and evaluating the operations on the shopfloor.
The Operations Supervisor Contract Logistics supports the Warehouse Manager Contract Logistics in pro-actively providing solutions to further optimise processes.
Your Responsibilities Shopfloor Management by developing workload-planning based on customer needs with strong involvement of Customer Service, by training Shift Leaders in the usage of needed tools and files and by challenging Shift Leaders in doing optimized Staff planningConstant Follow-up on daily workload in close cooperation and alignment between customer service and warehouse operationsEvaluate and implement any actions to drive synergies across the operational teamsCoaching and training of staff by monitoring and supervising training progress of ongoing trainings and by defining future training needs based on skills matrix, business development and future customer requirementsPerformance Management : Daily evaluation of Key Performance IndicatorsIdentify performance problems and providing potential solutions to warehouse manager after alignment with Shift Leaders and Customer ServiceUnderstanding of customer SOP’s and requirements as well as securing translation into daily businessInitiating Continuous Improvement-Projects with Shift LeadersMonitoring of invoiced activities vs.
real activities performed in close cooperation with controlling and management Your Skills and Experiences Several years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, staff management and Lean Six SigmaHighly interested in growing the performance, the capabilities, the ownership and the independency of the team and its individualsGood knowledge of storage systems and all techniques used in warehouses and KPI'sAnalytical and binding working mannerVery good communication skillsAbility to make decisions under time pressure and in stressful situationsStrong affinity with required customer quality standardsLanguage skills : German and English, basic knowledge in French is an assetNote : Condition for the conclusion of an employment agreement in the above-mentioned role is the provision of an up-to-date (not older than 3 months) certificate of good conduct as per legislation of 23 July 2016.
