Greenfield is very happy to assist our client, leader in the financial services, in their search of a Data Protection Counsel .

You will integrate the internal legal department that plays an important role in managing the risks associated with the business developed by the company.

As a DPC you will assist the business team in negotiating contracts, providing solutions, advice on regulatory developments and analyze internal projects for internal processes.

You will need to have a proven experience in a similar role as of 5 years experience, bilingual French and English, be pragmatic, problem solver and client oriented. Your role :

You will assist the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) in decision making by advising, issuing recommendations and escalating data protection related risks to the DPO

You will ensure that legal, contractual and operational data protection aspects are properly assessed and implemented in the daily operations and internal projects of the Luxembourg office

You will provide all data protection advice to the management and spread data protection awareness through the business teams of the Luxembourg entities

You will be the first contact point for data subject requests and Data Protection Authority

You will draft, review internal policies or procedures to ensure constant adherence with applicable regulations and monitor the implementation of these policies

You will review data protection impact assessments and data protection by design / by default analysis

Your profile :

As of 5 years’ experience for an Assistant Manager / Manager role and as of 8 years of proven experience for a Senior Manager role.

A very good knowledge in the national data protection law and practices including GDPR

Ideally a fair knowledge in the areas of IT, information security, business process, risk management

You need to be pragmatic thinking, have as strong analytical skills, client oriented, problem solver and strong communication skills

Fluency in English and French are a requirement.
