The context :
The Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg in partnership with LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) will drive significant research and development focused on sustainable mobility and next generation tire materials.
The primary objective is to improve the understanding and performances of materials and processes used in future tire technologies.
A future tire, as a highly complex composite material, needs to fulfil a wide range of performance criteria that cannot be achieved without expertise within chemistry and physics.
Therefore, we are looking for a PhD holder in the field of analytics to develop new methodologies for advanced chemical raw material and tire compound characterization.
The opportunity :
We are looking for a highly motivated researcher that holds a PhD degree to perform a key role in an ambitious project. He / She will be in charge of the optimization of existing and the development of new methods for the chemical analysis of tire compounds and raw materials used in tires.
This includes novel sample preparation techniques and the use and new development of multiple chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
The primary working place will be located at Goodyear Innovation Center in Colmar-Berg (Luxembourg), but travel to our partner LIST in Belvaux (Luxembourg) can be required depending on the project progress.
To join our team you will need :
The candidate should have a PhD in Analytical Chemistry
Proficient written and spoken English is mandatory.
MS, LC / MS, and GPC is a requirement
