The LCSB is currently highly involved in several projects around the Research Luxembourg COVID-19 Task Force. The Task Force has been set up in 2020 under the coordination of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

They coordinate the provision of support from the national research community to healthcare providers and the government in order to contain the current COVID-19 pandemic and they help identify and centralise a variety of priority activities, leveraging on the cross-sectoral expertise in many fields from biology, medicine to economics.

Our LCSB scientists drive research projects around the coronavirus, participated in stakeholder meetings and workshops, coordinate scientific reports and support in communication campaigns.

You will therefore work closely with partners at the LCSB and other national institutions.

To support our projects around the activities of the Research Luxembourg COVID-19 Task Force we are recruiting a :

Postdoctoral researcher (with focus on Scientific Project Management)

Your Role

  • Support the Principal Investigators in the coordination of research activities in the Research Luxembourg COVID-19 Task Force
  • Follow up on / conduct scientific activities and ensure communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Take care of scientific monitoring and scientific reporting to the stakeholders and the funding agencies and support in grant writing
  • Organize and prepare content / analysis for research project events, such as scientific meetings or project committee meetings
  • Engage in outreach activities to raise public awareness and contribute to fundraising to gain further financial support by public and private funders
  • Serve as scientific contact person of the research activities done by LCSB under the Research Luxembourg COVID-19 Task Force
  • Network with researchers and stakeholders to support the development of research activities
  • Perform other tasks within the framework of this position
  • Your Profile

  • PhD degree in the natural / life sciences or human medicine and practical experience in healthcare / science management, especially scientific project management.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization is considered an asset

  • Highly organized and a good coordinator, motivated and flexible
  • Reliable, efficient, and proactive in your work
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid stakeholder management and strong communication skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt and effectively organize, prioritize, and execute tasks in a highly dynamic environment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English. Additional good knowledge of one or more of the following languages : German, French, and Luxembourgish are considered an asset
  • Knowledge of the Luxembourg biomedical ecosystem is considered an asset
  • High level of competency in MS Office
  • As a self-starter, working with minimum supervision, you will take ownership and strive to provide a high level of contribution.
