Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Actively drive the on-boarding of new products / functions getting transitioned to a new oversight model and drive the strategic agenda for the Legal Entity Operations Oversight team.
  • Ensure robust design and continuous update of the operational governance framework to meet the changing product as well as to meet regulatory demands and changes, particularly within local branch jurisdictions.
  • Be accountable for the provision of oversight of specific Securities Services operational arrangements for JPMBL.
  • Operational Oversight of Securities Services performed for JPMBL includes review of escalation items and other business escalated items / metrics / KPIs, management of Service Level Agreements with different service providers, as well as ensuring adequate contingency planning and testing are in place and appropriate for the entity.
  • Prepare and / or present material with regard to operational oversight carried out for Securities Services for JPMBL within several senior forums (including the Location Operational Risk & Control Committee and JPMBL Operations Governance Forum) and ensure appropriate escalation is performed.
  • Perform due diligence and on-going assessment of outsourced functions.
  • Act as the local lead for global projects with a focus on operation readiness and efficiency improvements.
  • Key requirements :

  • Experience of working within a large organisation, preferably within the Financial Services industry (preferably 9 years as a minimum).
  • Sound understanding of the Custody, Network Management & Fund Services Business.
  • Good knowledge of the components of Custody, Network Management & Fund Services Operations.
  • Experience of working within in a control function or in close partnership with control functions (preferably 7 years as a minimum).
  • Experience of working across multiple business areas and / or functions to deliver results (preferably 7 years as a minimum).
  • Direct working experience within an Operations and / or Project Management roles is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to review oversight results, assess impact, identify trends to help maintain an efficient and effective oversight model.
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and European regulatory requirements and keeping up to date on developments affecting UCITS.
  • Proven ability to support / review the control framework and display a strong control mind-set.
  • Attention to details and proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Project Management qualification would be preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to engage with senior management and providers.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership, work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment locally and as part of a virtual team.
  • Strong discipline with the ability to set and maintain high standards.
  • Experience of working within a distributed model and ability to challenge the outsourced functions across the globe to ensure robust operating model.
  • Experience of leading projects.
  • Management experience is a plus.
  • Languages : English Fluent, another language is a plus
