SENIOR DIRECTOR ASSET ACCOUNTING SN092Our client is a small and growing company providing leasing solutions to corporate clients at an international scope.
Due to continuous growth, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Director of the Asset Accounting who will be responsible for recording, controlling and providing governance of fixed assets, maintenance and spare parts of accounting for the Group companies.
This is an exciting opportunity as our client is still at a start-up phase and the Senior Director will also closely work with the Director of Accounting and Finance with other projects.
The suitable candidate has proven experience, has strong interpersonal skills and works independently. The Role Make sure that the accounting for all equipment purchases, new build construction activities as well as inventory activities are correct and review and approve all journal entries and supporting documentation.
Manage the fixed asset books and records and develop a strong internal control process to account for. Lead all fixed asset related projects, e.
g. acquisition or disposals of assets as well as identifying, scoping, and implementing ERP system enhancements Check if the monthly Net Book Value is accurate (depreciation, maintenance, modification and indirect costs) roll-
forwards and approve all journal entries and supporting documentation. Work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Engineering to ensure that the equipment maintenance and modification budget and forecasts are maintained, and actual costs are accurately tracked against budget.
Document all month end controls in respect to fixed asset related transactions (acquisitions, modifications, disposals, depreciation) in a timely manner.
Lead the year-end financial reporting process for fixed asset related activity Regularly Identify areas for improvement.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the master files of all fixed asset related data. Participate in the daily and monthly accounting and reporting of the company and maintain records and systems to ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP and local statutory requirements, Take leadership in the monthly, quarterly and year-
end close process. Support the Senior Director of Finance and Accounting on accounting and financial reporting ongoing projects (e.
g. preparation of financial statements under IFRS / Lux GAAP) or one-off transactions (e.g. acquisitions, restructuring projects).
Your Profile 5+ years of Big 4 audit experience and additional experience in a manager level accounting / controlling position.
ACA, ACCA or the equivalent Hands on experience with IFRS and Lux GAAP and fixed asset accounting.
