As Pan-EU Category Manager Digital Video Games, you will (1) work in digital retail - a fast-growing industry worldwide, (2) own a pan-EU portfolio and P&L, and (3) manage Amazon's relationships with Digital Video Games vendors, owning and driving the business in key segments of the industry across Europe.
You will be responsible for the growth of the business in the given segments, increasing available selection, improving site content and driving a great experience for our customers.
This role is based in our European Headquarters in Luxembourg City.
The position requires a seasoned executive with proven results in growing new and existing businesses, designing and executing sourcing, integration and customer experience strategies, excelling in multifunctional setup and executing operational duties, when needed, to keep up with the fast pace of the industry.
The main areas of responsibility include :
Full P&L Management of selected product categories for 5 European Marketplaces
Design sourcing strategy (direct / indirect supply, priority brands, selection and terms)
Manage all vendor relations of one or more key segment(s) of the Digital Video Games category
Establish relationships and drive high-level negotiations of agreements / deals with leading brands
Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Marketing team to execute these activities
Be an ambassador of Amazon within the Digital Video Games industry, developing deep knowledge of consumer trends, supply & demand dynamics and success drivers
Execute at a Pan EU level while fostering and maintaining strong partnerships at the country level
Participate in day-to-day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price management, business improvement initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate Degree (Masters Degree strongly preferred)
5+ years of experience in sales / business development / account management with P&L or revenue center responsibility
Candidate must be fluent in English and at least one other European language
Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
A track record of proven success in past positions
Ability to think strategically and tactically
Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA degree
Online and / or retail experience
Previous experience in the video games industry
Proficiency in European languages is a plus (such as French, German, Italian, Spanish)
