Develop and managing scientific concepts for clinical and experimental research projects with focus, but not exclusively, in the area of microbiome research.
Perform clinical testing and human-related laboratory examinations for bridging translating findings from research to clinics
Engage in relationship management with partners, both internally and externally as well as with patients and partners, visit partner site for surveillance of recruitment and / or data acquisition
Assist in study planning and coordination, develop protocols and integrate scientific results in study programs
Analyze and interpret results and data obtained, especially in liaising with computational biology experts and prepare result report documentation
Write regularly progress reports, prepare document research projects, contribute to manuscripts from scientific results, prepare presentations for internal and external scientific meetings and grant proposals
Develop and conduct teaching activities for practical’s and tutorials
You will conduct research mainly autonomously in collaboration with co-workers and report directly to the PI
MD or MSc or equivalent diploma in natural sciences (preferably human biology, biochemistry or bioinformatics)
Experience in contribution to clinical and basic research project or study management
Knowledge of molecular biology and medical (patho)physiology
Experience in producing papers for publications and outreach activities related to biomedical research
Additional education in the field of bioinformatics would be an asset.
Fluency in English. Good level of German and ideally also French
Excellent organisational, communication and team-working skills
