Senior Program Manager – Network Design

Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager for its Amazon Transportation Business (ATS). As a program manager, you will be joining the ATS Strategic Network Design team and be responsible for the design of long term network design.

You will help to develop a best in class middle mile strategy for ground line-haul and sortation, designing and implementing an integrated network that maximizes service value proposition and minimizes costs.

Key responsibilities as Senior Program Manager :

  • Creating network topology and capacity plans to meet demand, reduce cost and improve speed
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stakeholders
  • Coordinate senior stakeholders to sync monthly execution to planning
  • Defining the network configuration of lanes, nodes and timings, working with stakeholders across the Transportation organization
  • Write and review strategic documents to update senior leadership on the progress of network topology implementation
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing highly complex and ambiguous projects requiring strong analytics, fast business judgment and ability to align with stakeholders
  • Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion (results oriented)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams and international / multicultural stakeholders
  • Business fluency in English
  • 5+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Experience of Planning Tools and systems (e.g. for network optimization, inventory management etc.)
  • Proficiency in SQL / Tableau
  • Scripting languages a plus
