What is the opportunity?

You will support the audit and financial services team to help plan, execute and report the results of audits performed in Luxembourg and other RBC locations.

You will be part of a 350 strong team globally and a team of approx 17 in Luxembourg.

What will you do?

  • Support the Internal Audit (IA) team to provide independent, objective risk assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of risk management practices, internal control and corporate governance processes in the RBC Investor Services area.
  • Help the IA team to determine the severity of each control deviation and assess the impact or potential consequences to address risk.
  • Execute audit programs and procedures as assigned by the audit engagement lead.
  • Document and report results in a timely manner.

  • Assist IA Management in developing audit programs to ensure effective control solutions are implemented.
  • Interact and engage with different stakeholders during the audit process
  • Assist in reporting IA activities to various stakeholders
  • What do you need to succeed?

  • University undergraduate, preferably with experience of internal audit based modules / courses
  • Information technology skills
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience of dealing with a variety of global stakeholders
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Curious and proactive learner
  • Delivery focused, comfortable with hard deadlines, keen eye for detail
  • Good analytical skills, ability to multi-task in fast paced enviroment
  • Pro-active self-starter
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Must have

  • Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel Graphing, pivoting, formulae
  • Proficient with Powerpoint-simplifying and distilling information to develop high impact presentations.
  • Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of either French or German would be advatageous
