We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving devices (Kindle e-readers, tablets, Fire TV, Echo / Alexa, etc.
and digital media (e.g. e-books, apps etc.) businesses. Lawyers at Amazon are trusted members of the business. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-
paced. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business.
You will serve as a lawyer responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions.
You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including digital media, consumer products, marketing, commercial contracts, privacy and regulatory compliance.
You will be part of the legal team that supports Amazon's devices and digital businesses in Luxembourg and Europe.
This position will be based in Luxembourg. Some travel may be required.
Fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic records
Minimum 5 years of legal experience (with at least two years at a law firm) as an attorney
Experience in technology, media and commercial transactions, supporting media, consumer-products, manufacturing, e-commerce or retail businesses
High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as Business Partner to Senior Management
Great business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate contracts
Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
A team player and consensus builder with great people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization
